Founded in 1904 in the Netherlands as one of the first bicycle manufacturers in the world, the Batavus company has stood for design, quality, comfort and security for more than a hundred years.

In line with the brand’s reputation, the company stylists seek to make of every Batavus a unique experience. This is reflected in the beautiful design elements and special traits such as for instance the innovative spoke pattern and the integration of the front light in the suspended front fork.

To make you sit comfortably and keep your back straight at all times, Batavus bikes come with easily adjustable parts, allowing you to change your position at all times without any special tools. Most bikes are equipped with suspensions in the front fork and seat post to enjoy the ride even on rough roads.

Batavus bicycles are robust and last for a very long time (some of us are even intent on keeping them for a life time) due to the company’s stringent frame and part’s development and testing process. Each bike is covered by five (!) layers of powder coating so it will stay beautiful no matter how many times it is used.
